Waiters/Waitresses when someone tips you 100%, is it the amount that matters or the gesture?

For example, lets say the total meal cost ($27). And the customer tipped exactly ($27). I understand it aint that big of a sum. But would the gesture have an impact?

Thanks for answering (This is what I have been doing since COVID)

I think that is wonderful of you and a grand gesture indeed.

I would love to be your waitress.

The gesture is what matters not the amount.

It's the gesture and sometimes both the gesture and the amount.

OMG that is the kindest thing ever. I can only imagine just how much that would mean to someone who may be struggling. You win the internet today.
