what is the recommended size for the windows recycle bin?

i noticed windows has a maximum of 14.21GB for my recycle bin but i heard that windows automatically adjusts the recycle bin based on the hard drive size (to 10% or 5% depending on the version). is there a recomended size for the disk's recycle bin or is it better to just allow windows to control it?

Few people would need it lower as windows will compensate by deleting things quicker if space needed, if you need lower you probably need to upgrade your drives.

To be honest I would just let windows control it.  Edge cases where you have files that are too large for the recycle bin might want to change it but the vast majority of people can ignore it.

Let Windows deal with it for Christ's sake.

The recommended size for your Windows Recycle Bin is 5% of the drive's size.

This, however, would make the Recycle bin capacity very large, but you CAN change the size by following the instructions on the following webpage.
