Find someone only knowing their first name and first letter of last name to find my stepbrother?

How do you find someone by first name and first letter of last name without state with knowing which school, their boss name, last known state you remembered etc. I'm looking for my stepbrother my real dad abandoned him I think he's in danger and I can't afford a lawyer nor a private investigator.

    You might ask any of his friends or relatives if they know anything. With just a first name and first initial of the surname you don't have enough.
