Do people refer to themselves as Woke?  Or is it just a pejorative term used by conservatives?

@Anonymous, I am afraid I'm not qualified to define this American colloquialism; I am trying to understand it.  But I think it is supposed to mean somebody has awakened to the truth of Left-wing ideology.  But since I only hear conservatives using it to describe people they disagree with, and I don't hear people claiming the title of Woke, I am not sure.
