is it better to get the DVD or blu-ray version of dr who classic?

i've grown sick of britbox refusing to develop for consoles or roku and thus want to buy a physical copy that i can rip to a plex server. is it worth waiting and spending more on a blu-ray version or just getting the DVD versions. some comparisons of picture quality would be nice.

If you're talking about Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker episodes of Dr Who, then DVD will be fine. I don't see too much difference in older programmes.

NEW Doctor Who Episodes would be a whole different ball game though. And yes to Blu Ray for those.
