Can the Covid-19 vaccine be forced on people?

In New York City at least there are teachers and transit workers being given the Covid vaccine.

If you think about it, the vaccine has only been developed over the span of about a year. There is still not enough known about  any long term side effects or adverse effects or anything about how  it may not work in certain populations such as the elderly, or people who have severe allergies etc etc.

Can a person be forced to take the vaccine against his or her will and can a person be fired from his or her job if s/he refuses to be vaccinated, especially regarding a job such as mail carrier,  flight attendant, pilot, MTA worker, teacher, hospital worker, etc?

Many employers already have vaccination requirements for other things.  This will eventually be no different.

The vaccine is considered "experimental."  You can't be "forced" to get the vaccine.  Why wouldn't you get the vaccine?

I suspect that if you were trapped in a towering inferno , you would refuse to get on the rescue helicopter because you thought them too dangerous .

Many decisions come down to a balance of risks to oneself -- but this decision, primarily ,  comes down  to the risk you would pose to others, by your not accepting the inoculation .

We do not demand that citizens think of others when making their decisions , but as good citizens , we do expect people to at least take that into consideration .

Sure they can try and no doubt they will try but if we stick together and remain true to one another we will prevail.

We gone take to the streets and force the government into a U-Turn.

    We are the people

It's possible you'll be required to get a COVID-19 shot for work in some professions. If you refuse, you could be fired or moved to other duties. There are several vaccines using different methods to achieve immunity. You can familiarize yourself with what they are and how they work. I can't post the link, but if you do a web search on "Different COVID-19 Vaccines CDC" you will find descriptions for them. I believe they're safe.

The gov can certainly try. Come up with "you cannot xxxxxxx if you don't get the vaccine" would be the first step.  I'm not getting the vaccine at all.

#1 I don't trust the US government to speak a single sentence without half of it being a lie

#2 I've never gotten a flu shot, and I've also never had any issues with the flu

It's like getting a vaccine for a cold, makes no sense at all
