When is Yahoo! Answers shutting down?

Yes, Yahoo on Monday said it will shut down its Yahoo Groups as of December 15, 2020, putting an end to the 19-year-old legacy of the discussion board platform.

Bring back the comment section format. I have no idea why anyone should get points and assigned levels for submitting their Q&A's? 

I heard it was meant to shut down in 2017, which was four years ago now. I honestly didn't expect it to be still around much after 2018 due to the troll infestation but for some reason it's still going.

Yahoo Answers is not Shutting down it not showing up under that Section anymore does not mean anything People start Rumors all the time about Yahoo Answers closing down people start lots of Different Dates an all have come and Gone and its still here 

No one knows when it will happen (surely it will some day). Verizon Media has not made any announcements or notified Yahoo! users via email of ANY changes upcoming to the site.

On the contrary, they are in the process of a major revamp of the site, with improved interfaces and a return to some of the old features. The launch date has been speculated at 1 June 2020.

I do not have any clue in the world. There has been a lot of roomers about it shutting down as well as others saying it will be revamped and others saying it will go back to the way it was then others say nothing is going to happen. Time will tell what happens 

No one knows what Yahoo is going to do with Yahoo Answers. It could be closed or maybe they are planning to re-vamp it into something new.

Verizon has made no announcement about YA since last year. If you want to know the reason for the violation and removal, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add any details you remember so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. Many times the violation is not in the question but in the added details and updates.
