    I consider reporting on these dullards to be a waste of my time and I ignore their stories.  

    But, there are some people who (for reasons I do not fathom) like to follow the private lives of them, entertainers, sports figures, etc.

    Enough people care about them to justify a public interest. 

    Nobody elected you to censor what goes on in the media.
