Why do white Americans keep voting for the pro war party...then complain about what war causes, without seeing it as a war related issue?

This is the cost of military recruitment under America's current military policy and veteran laws.

Military employment entitles the employed to TriCare, America's best socialized health insurance service.

This is the cost of Veteran status..

Veteran status is expensive..

It entitles veterans to VA services including healthcare, under some circumstances, also Tricare as well..

Subsidized home and automobile loans at artificially low cost..

And to powerful veteran's NGO representation which increases defense spending.

Disabled veterans are the most expensive, as they are top priority in all veteran's services.. and require more services.

This is the cost of war itself and the cost of receiving military training.

Mental illness and drug addiction, causing higher crime rates and poor health and worse outcomes from received healthcare services.

Family problems including domestic violence, child abuse and spousal abuse and higher divorce rates and higher crime rates.

Cancer, most commonly caused by smoking and drinking, and by influenced Smoking and Drinking by next of Kin.

Low Incomes and lower academic achievement..

This is a byproduct, indirectly but absolutely caused by..

-The time spent in the military.

-The unmarketable nature and servitude irrelevance of military acquired skills.

-Mental illness.

-Military behavior.

-Unstable households.

And also caused by the services provided to veterans.

Update:

Veteran status is also a fuel for undesirable public policy that negatively affects civilians.

:)

Update 2:

The services themselves are a recruitment tactic...further creating war.

:)

The US is pro war in general. Both parties are slaves to the military individual complex. The US maintains its lead through military might and technological prowess. Projecting power means making war and the implements to wage war, as well as the conditions to spark conflicts. Americans can't make cars or televisions worth a damn. The railroad industry is dead. Manufacturing of civilian products has been obliterated, but those bullets and bombs are top notch. You can't educate your people or keep them safe or healthy, but you can sure bomb people. Stick to what you're good at.
