Why do doctors love to prescribe drugs?

    Cause it's their job to cure people by prescribing drugs to them, the only reason why doctors love to prescribe drugs.

    Its called "kickback".  They get rebates.  Not that hard to figure out.

    It's time for patients to understand that 80 percent of diseases in the United States are caused by lifestyle problems entirely beyond their control, but that failure to accept this contributes to the diseases we treat every day.

    We are to blame for everything from cancer to diabetes to heart disease and strokes, but we refuse to accept it or take constructive steps to prevent it.

    They love being able to "wave a magic wand" and relieve pain and suffering and pharmaceuticals give them the ability to do that in many cases.  Unfortunately not all conditions can be treated with drugs and many doctors do not have the knowledge or experience to deal with chronic issues.

    Pretty vague. And patients often demand them as well. But that aside, often people seek attention for things that are made better with prescriptions. If they feel well, they don’t come in. But I have plenty of patients say things “ I’m not leaving until I get....”
