Why do so many people say that modern formula one is worse than the old formula one?

simply put it's not as competitive as it was 10-15 years ago, also the cars are being made easier and easier to drive, don't mis understand me they are not easy to drive, given the incredible accelaration rates, and constant physical geforce strains on the body....but come on ABS ERS DRS TCS,  pretty sure Ascari Hawthorn Moss Fangio Stewart, never had all these creature comforts....For instance this Hamilton argument, it's an obvious fact he has won every single one of his world titiles whilst driving for the obvious best team, no ifs or butts about it,  to me that's not that impressive..

It is more boring in my view.

Sounds like baby food right? Crikey! Its a long long time since I had anything to do with that stuff PH. So, I can't help.

those would be the people that to go to car races to see the spectacular crashes .

There were more spectacular crashes in the old days,  with car parts flying all over.   Now the cars  are modern miracles of safety features---and even in some of the worst, fiery crashes.......the drivers walk away unhurt. 

Rose Tinted Glasses. This last season was brilliant IMO providing your level of entertainment doesn't come down just to who wins. If all your focused on is who wins the title then yes its more boring now than ever. However some of the racing in the midfield last season was superb. Then you had the absolute classics like Turkey, Sakhir and Turkey. IMO there was only 2 really boring races last season, Abu Dhabi and Russia.

That's better than most seasons. 2001, 2002, 2004, 1995, 96, 92, 88 were not great seasons for racing but i see people call them classics.

The longer time goes on, the easier it is to only remember the good races. So because they only remember the great ones, it's easy to think those seasons were superb and todays is boring.

I hate to say this, you will do the same thing. In 10-15 years time, you will look back today and say todays racing was better than the racing in 10-15 years time.
