I THINK IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO IS TRYING TO BE GOOD, YOU ARE ADDICTED TO LOOKING AT PORN AND IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT STOPPING THE SELF GRATIFICATION, THEN YOU DON'T GO LOOK AT PORN. I THINK YOU ARE KIDDING YOURSELF. YOU HAVE TO TURN THE LORD FOR STRENGTH AND YOU DO THAT BY GOING IMMEDIATELY TO HIM IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR ROOM AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS FOR ALL THE IMPURE THOUGHTS THAT YOU LET INTO YOUR MIND, BUT DON'T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF, GOD KNOWS OUR WEAKNESS'S BETTER THAN WE DO. AND IF YOU ARE REALLY TRYING AND ARE SINCERE EACH TIME YOU ASK FOR FORGIVENESS WHEN YOU SLIP(FALL), THEN THE LORD WILL FORGIVE YOU AS MANY TIMES AS YOU ASK HIM. YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET STRONGER BUT YOU MUST GO BACK TO CHURCH AND HOLY COMMUNION (FOR STRENGTH) AND PRAY IN SECRET TO THE LORD WHEN EVER YOU CAN, ABOVE ALL YOU MUST BE SINCERE, THE LORD LOVES A HUMBLE AND SINCERE HEART. REMEMBER JESUS WHEN HE WAS CARRYING HIS CROSS FELL THREE TIMES BUT IN ALL HIS AGONY AND PAIN GOT RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN AND MOVED FORWARD, JUST FOR LOVE OF US. WHAT HE WAS DOING WAS AN EXAMPLE FOR US THAT WHEN WE SLIP (FALL) WE SHOULD GET RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN AND MOVE FORWARD TOWARD HIM FOR FORGIVENESS. DON'T EVER THINK YOU ARE BEING A HYPOCRITE, YOU ARE NOT, IT JUST TAKES TIME TO CONQUER THIS, WITH THE HOLY COMMUNION YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW STRONG YOU WILL BECOME, IT IS NOT DONE OVERNITE.
OH, IF YOU WOULD ONLY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE PLEASING GOD JUST FOR TRYING TO BE GOOD FOR HIM, HE KNOWS IF YOU ARE TRYING OR NOT AND SO DO YOU, YOU ARE A DELIGHT IN HIS EYES, HE CANNOT WAIT TO SNATCH UP WHEN YOU DIE, FOR THOSE WHO DIE REPENTANT, NO TORMENT SHALL TOUCH THEM. JESUS SAID YOU WERE FAITHFUL TO ME IN LIFE, NOW ENTER INTO THE HOUSE OF MY FATHER FOREVER. JESUS ALSO SAID>>>>>>

You should quit porn regardless of your age or religious beliefs. Quitting will be difficult (if not impossible), but trying to do it 'gradually' will guarantee failure. You will have to take some concrete steps to prevent yourself from having access to it, but just like someone who is addicted to drugs or alcohol, you'll find ways.
I get a kick out of the responses from Christians here:
'how can you possibly claim to be a christian and be associated with pornography?'
'true christians do not look at images that God would deem an abomination'
I'm atheist, but I've spent considerable time around Christians - including in men's groups, bible studies, etc. - and one of the single most common 'struggles' that men (of all ages) describe is viewing pornography (generally for the purposes of masturbation).
In fact, it is so common, that if one of the men didn't list it as their main (or among their main) struggles, I would just assume they were lying (or telling the truth - but only because they had simply stopped trying to quit, so there was no more struggle).
I've watched men allow porn addiction to destroy their marriages, lose their children, prevent them from being able to maintain normal relationships and/or gainful employment, bringing some to the point of attempting (or pondering) suicide.
'Lust' has always been something that men (and some women) struggle with - and the people who wrote the bible didn't exactly have to be rocket surgeons to notice that they (and other men around them) experienced difficulty keeping their eyes/minds off of the ladies, and their hands out of their own pants - so when they were making lists of 'sins', they knew it had to go in there.
With modern portable devices making access to an internet overflowing with porn so easy - it's unsurprising that the vast majority of men (religious or otherwise) end up getting hooked on it. Even men who regularly have sex with a partner (or partners) will often engage in viewing porn.
It has given many men a skewed idea of what normal sexual relations are like - as the positions shown are often to give the camera (and thus the viewer) the best angle of the action rather than for the pleasure of either of the participants. Some of the stuff they get up to requires considerable prep (as well as their partner being up for it), resulting in 'less than optimal' fumbling around that can end up being a turn-off for one or both partners.
Combine that with the fact that many men who regularly view porn (and get used to the feeling of using their hand) can start to have difficulty getting and/or maintaining an erection when with a partner - and it all goes downhill quickly.

How can you possibly claim to be a Christian and be associated with pornography? The Bible says that no fornicator no adulterer no homosexual or unclean person will be in the kingdom of God!
- Jim2Lv 72 months ago
Yes. It's lusting after a woman (or man for that matter) in your heart. Jesus specifically addressed this.

Yes because it is lusting after others it is the sin of adultery in you heart and all fornicators and adulterers will be judged unworthy of eternal life if they do not repent and turn away from sin. Thanks for the question.

Yes. Porn is destructive and will only invite shame and guilt into your life. You need to do everything you can to stay away from it.
Above all, you need JESUS. He is God and He loves you infinitely! The moment you trust in Christ alone as your Savior, ALL of your sins (past, present and future) are completely forgiven (Acts 10:43). You can KNOW you have eternal life through simple faith in Jesus Christ (1 John 5:13).
The Bible teaches that we are all sinners who deserve eternal separation from God in hell. But the good news is that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for all our sins and rose again (1 Cor. 15:3-4). Because of the shed blood of Christ, no one has to go to hell. All one must do to receive eternal life is to believe in Jesus Christ for that free gift! The moment you believe in Christ alone to save you (apart from works), you are kept eternally secure and will go to heaven when you die no matter what.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24).
