When could the Olympics be held in Africa?

  • 2036 would be the earliest (the IOC has indicated they want to bring the 2032 summer games to Brisbane, QLD, Australia).  Winter is not possible.

    South Africa held the world cup which is arguably the same scale of not bigger than the Olympics so that's a contender. Egypt and Morocco could also pull it off with the right investment.

    To be honest I reckon 2036 I can see Qatar putting a bid in if the world cup goes well

    Cannot.  The Olympics is a "Bid" for the games, either Winter or Summer.  The African countries don't have enough Money to make a reasonable "Bid".

    Let a lone the funds to build the necessary grounds.

    Not even the South Africa country.

    The nearest might be Saudi Arabia.

    But then the U.S. would probably bomb it
