INFORMATION ON COMPUTER?

I was placing an order online and before I could place  my name and address it was already there.   so it looks like information is already on my computer. I 've never ordered from this company before.  I was told by someone this happens and it would be best to remove it from the computer because they didn't think it's  safe.  I can't find a way to delete it.  Any suggestions or information thanks

it's not on your pc but saved on your browser. saving personal info and things like passwords should never be saved in your browser, those options should be unchecked.

It may be your browser. Event though you haven't used that site before, the browser has kept data for future transactions. Check in Settings, something about cookies or wallet or something.

most browsers have autocomplete form history built into them, you can switch it off in the settings in your browser (I have it switched off in my browser) and you can delete your info in the browser either in the security settings or just downloas "CClaener" and that will do it for you

Do you use Chrome?  are you logged in to your browser?  Your browser has your name and address in its cookies and uses it to fill in address forms.

it's fine if you're the onlybone using the computer, and it is password protected. it is stored in a secure location.

but if it's a shared box, then you should tell it to NEVER save passwords.

how to do this depends on which browser, but it's usually somewhere in Settings.

It will be an option in your web browser, "Form autocomplete" or something along those lines.

As long as it's you own computer and not a public shared one, it's not any kind of security risk and just a useful facility.
