What is your opinion on the value of art?

Especially modern art. Do you think a painting from Jackson Pollock is worth $58.3 million?

Update:

I'm not looking for objective responses. I just want to know how people feel about this.

    I wouldn't pay 58.3 million for it.

    But then, I don't have 58.3 million.

I wouldn't pay $58 for it, and I do have that.

(I won't argue taste, but that's just not to mine)

Art is a speculator's market. I believe that truly groundbreaking work with historical implications can justify a high acquisition cost but it seems to me that a lot of this has to be about money laundering, right?
