What are your thoughts on Drew Brees retiring after 20 years?

    20 years is a long time to play in the NFL it was time for him to retire.

    It is about time he retires. Now Tom Brady has to retire.

    I think the fact you have quarterbacks like Brady and Brees who can play at the top level into their 40s show the lack of quality coming through into the NFL at the moment and the lack of depth. Both are great players don't get me wrong but it says a lot about the lack of depth and quality in the younger talent that they haven't been forced out by now. If I were the NFL it's a worrying sign for the future.

    Drew Brees will be remembered as an all-time great quarterback, and the first to prove that a short quarterback can succeed in the NFL. Brees paved the way for under 6 feet quarterbacks like Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray. Off the field, Brees was instrumental in the post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts in the city of New Orleans.

    He had a good run, it's time to move one.  I believe that he's the last of his draft class to retire.
