Glory is pretty obvious but hallelujah is actually two words hallelu and jah. The first half means 'praise' and jah is God's name of Yah.

"Glory" means light in the darkness, "Hallelujah" means "Praise God". "Glory Hallelujah" means "Praise God for the light in the darkness."
