Hello I was not eligible for a stimulus check however I was eligible when I filed with TurboTax for my taxes however it did not separate the funds in it somehow made my tax return bigger as I got credits on my taxes a few days ago Will child support take those credits to offset the balance that I owe? I heard that they can't touch the stimulus I really need the money to pay off my car was just wondering?

If you filed a Recovery Rebate credit on your 2020 tax return and there is a net refund due to you, those payments will be taken to offset past due child support.  Child support ranks ahead of car payments by the way.

They may not take your stimulus, but your taxes will be taken for the child support. Not sure why you're not eligible for stimulus

I think they cannot touch it, but of course you'd be wise to pay it anyway.
