How do magnetic fields polarize light?
Various astronomical phenomena' magnetic fields are mapped out by their polarized light emissions. How exactly are the light polarized by the magnetic fields?
This is the reason I'm asking this question. The M87's black hole has been mapped using polarized light recently, so how does a magnetic field polarize light?

There are four ways to polarize light and none of them use a magnet or magnetic field.
