You work in a school teaching brats that the double slit experiment is not an intriguing prn movie title. Suddenly you hear outside the schoolroom a commotion. You can hear that a gun is firing repeatedly and there are screams of agony from children. You look out of your classroom window to see a teen walking down the corridor carrying a rifle.
On your teacher's desk is a gun. What are you going to do next?
'Lights out. Everyone in the closet.' .. so you're going to ignore all the dying children in other classrooms. The kid with the gun is right there in your sight - destroying countless people's lives. Are you seriously going to hide in the closet?

As a PRO gun rights LEFTIST, I practice a LOT. I need to be able to hold up a middle finger to both cons and libs. So I'm an excellent shot.
So that kid better accidentally hit me with a "spray and pray" burst, because otherwise his cold, dead @$$ is going to the morgue.
