Is is possible to unshrink a jumper?

I accidentally shrunk my dad's favourite woollen jumper when I washed it as I wasn't paying attention and put the washing machine on the wrong setting. Is there anything I can do to get the jumper back to its old size?

    no. maybe buy him a new jumper.

    Nope.    Wool felts with heat and agitation.  This is why you wash it by hand.

    No. You can never reverse shrinkage. Time to buy him a similar jumper.

    Unfortunately no. You can not stretch  out the fibers to make them long again.
