I switched from double sided glass phone case to silicone back cover with glass screen protector... ?

And my WiFi connection became slower. What does it mean? 

Update:

The double sided case is not glass sorry, it's transparent but made of plastic. 

Update 2:

The standalone screen protector is tempered glass.

    Your silicone phone case blocks signal more than the glass one. Like how you lose phone signal if u walk into a school because the walls are too thick
