Do you think Stephen King lost his touch after the van accident?
I'm a big Stephen King fan, but I can't help feeling that it Stephen King's best work was done before he was hit with a van.
He wrote such awesome books like Pet Semetary, Carrie, Cujo, etc.
Admittedly, some books were better than others, like I didn't find Cujo near as good as The Green Mile, but Cujo was still good.
However, after Stephen King's accident, it doesn't seem like he's able to write as good anymore. I feel like his books only sell because he's Stephen King.
Does anyone else feel like Stephen King's writing dramatically changed after his accident, and not for the better?

I tend to agree with you. The early books you mention are his best. A recent one like 11//22/63 is pathetic. But I'm not really a fan of his because I prefer a lighter touch with horror. Recently read a vampire story with some good horror touches, but really saved by learning the vampire prefers type B positive blood, which gave me a laugh.

Couldn't tell ya, as I was never a fan, and don't care for horror stories.
He was never one of my favorite authors-. I lean more towards Clive Cussler-

yes. his early writing are classics. I think the accident knocked the fright out of him.

After his accident and during his convalesence, he put out several books in rapid fire sequence. He finally finished (mostly) the gun fighter series. I had waited years between volumes of that one, and he put out some other books that I really liked. Lisseys story, the girl who loved Tom gordon, Black house and others. I began to notice how he has tied so many of his stories together with past novels too. The Mr. Mercedes trilogy was very good too. I think he's still a talented writer who still is on top of his game. I don't think the fountain of his imagination is drying up at all. I have to say though, that his recent stories often have some lame political reference inserted that does nothing to enhance the story, and annoys me.

While there are aspects of his early work that I love, his skills have improved with time. Revival is excellent, and quite underrated. 11/22/63 is also great. Doctor Sleep and The Outsider are good, and the Me. Mercedes trilogy is excellent. I've heard good things about The Institute but have yet to read it. He's written a lot, and his work can be uneven. Some of his earlier works weren't very good, like The Tommyknockers. But I do think he's improved with age.
