Do you think humans will ever walk on the sun?

No evan if there was a solid surface to stand on and you could somehow wear a suit that would protect you from 15 million degrees. The gravity of the Sun would still squash you as thin as a piece of paper.

No. First, there is no material known to man that can withstand the heat of the surface of the sun without melting and burning. Second, even if we had something, there would need to be a way to air condition the space suit to keep the heat out, which would require a heat differential in the compressor/evaporator system that is impossible. Third, there is no solid surface to the sun to walk on. It would be like trying to walk on the air. Last, even if there was a solid surface and the temperature problem was licked, the gravity of the sun would make a human weigh so much they would be crushed to death under their own body weight.

I answered this question several years ago, when Yahoo had the green format. I think the question may have been worded something like, "will scientists ever go to the sun?" My answer: "If they do, they'll have to go at night". My answer actually went viral!
