Replace it all with a parliament, proportional representation.

I hope not until the poisonous political atmosphere subsides somewhat. Any attempt now would be a grab for more political power for a particular party.

That will automatically happen when states reform their election laws so Democrats can't cheat like they did in 2020.

Do you have any understanding of what you're talking about? Just WHAT aspects of the Electoral College needs to be updated? Well?

The electoral college is mandated in our constitution. Messing with it much will require another amendment. That is a long process. The reason we don't use the "popular vote" for our only national election is because it would be grossly unfair to most of the 50 states. The few states with the huge populations would always dominate that sort of election. Just like in Nevada. 2 counties, Clark and Washoe (which coincidentally have the highest populations of Calif transplants) dominate our state elections. The rest of the counties (14) have very little to say because the populations in Reno and Las Vegas overrule them.

    Probably never.

you'll have to convince democrats to support it first.....and good luck with that...

oh wait... you didn't know that it's been democrats who've most opposed Electoral College reform?

that's because it would invalidate their decades of hard work locking down large, reliable voting blocks in major cities....

the fairest reform would be to go to proportional representation.... but that would likely swing things heavily in favor of the GOP...

sure, a democrat might win 10 EVs in TX, but he/she would be likely to lose 5-10 in IL alone.... not to mention picking up 5-10 in California...

Update it so illegals aren't represented.
