Mathematics ?

What's bigger 21 thousandths of an inch or 22 thousandths of a inch. What would be a bigger number? Or bigger on a tool gauge of some sort? (Thickness Gauge)

    0.021 < 0.022

    if this is true , then :

    1/0.021 > 1/0.022 

    47.6 > 45.5...QED

    The units are the same (thousandths of an inch). Since 22 is bigger than 21, clearly 22 thousandths is bigger than 21 thousandths of an inch.

    22/1000 = 0.022 <-- bigger

    21/1000 = 0.021
