Country songs critical of America? ?

Country music is typically very patriotic but I’m looking for songs that are critical the USA. Thank you.

There are a few that come to mind, some are more serious than others and some that only touch on the topic. Of the ones on my list, I think Rich and Miserable most closely answers your question, followed by Shutting Detroit Down.

If you listen closely you can hear the criticism in a number of older songs such as:

Merle Haggard's song "Are the Good Times Really Over".Johnny Cash "The Man in Black"

Songs like those are scattered through out the history of Country music, right through even today. Below is a link to some other songs with more recent critiques of the U.S.

How about one critical of how the USA allows douche-bags to roam the streets, vandalizing,  looting, and, when there's nothing left to loot, burn down people's livelihoods?
