Any advice on finding a career within the U.S. Dept. of Interior?

Thought about being a Forest Ranger or someone who works with forestry/wildlife.  I love that stuff, but haven't the slightest clue about how that field works.  Or how to get your foot in the door.

Take College courses in land management, Ecology, and other subjects that would be helpful.  Forest rangers these days are a type of law enforcement rather than educational "rangers"

Find people in the field you can converse or write with. Be a volunteer at a park, Network and pass the federal civil service exam.
