My 11 year old son swears/uses profanity, is that bad?

My son is 11 almost 12. He's a decent kid overall, but he's developed quite a potty mouth. It's just in general conversation or at times when playing video games.  I've heard him greet a couple of his friends with " hey mother *******!"  or " what the ****?, if he's trying to figure something.  He mostly uses The F word.  He doesn't talk this way in front of family or teachers.  Should i just let it go or make a big deal about it?

If you use such language he will consider it acceptable. If you never do, you need to have some discussions with him about your family values.

Read the parenting books! Especially perhaps “How to Talk so Kids will Listen and Listen so Kids will Talk” by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish.

    Good Luck!

    Lousy parenting creates lousy kids.

And it's obvious you don't attend church

Kids curse at that age with friends. If he isn't doing it around you or grandma I would leave it be
