There's not always a difference, but a quiz might be 5 questions on the homework for that day, while a test might be longer, and at the end of the week, or the end of a unit of study. An exam is usually bigger, longer, and covering more material. Many classes might have a mid-term exam and a final exam. In college, for example, students usually have 3 hours to take an exam. A quiz might be 5 minutes, and a test might be an hour.
