I'm sorry, but (Are you at least 18 years of age? Yes or No) This formality is surprising. Why is it this way in America?

Just click the Yes button. LOL Immature teens can readily access. Why don't you protect immature teens?

    So for whatever reason if something should happen that records need to be checked they have consented that they are 18+, commiting a crime and the asker gets off free because they did ask and outlined consequences and punishments and laws, usually in the fine print but it’s there

    Because that's their parents job, as in most places in the US the parents are liable for their children's behavior, and actions.
