Yes! The 2021 Kentucky Derby takes place on Saturday, May 1, at Churchill Downs. There are races all day leading up the Kentucky Derby known as the fastest two minutes in sports. Post time is approximately 6:50 p.m. EST. You can watch on NBC.
As usual, the Kentucky Oaks race, is the day before Friday April 30th featuring the fillies, female horses.

Changes due to COVID-19
Expect fans in the stands again for this year's Derby, but significantly less than normal. Right now, Churchill Downs plans to limit seating to 40-50%, up to 60% in certain private areas that allow social distancing. Also, masks will be mandatory, which should come as no surprise with a statewide mandate still in place.
