Are we ever going to get to the bottom of this about aliens really exist?

I have read recently on the news that the United States Air Force is planning to come out with something this summer that verifies the existence of UFO's.

Recently a lot of photos and live video have been released on the internet shot by sailors on duty on war ships off the coast of San Diego.  As you know, war planes have to practice taking off and landing again and again on carriers.  the skies are full of jets off the coast of San Diego, which has a huge military base.  And this has attracted a lot of UFO sightings that have been captured on camera.  And they are REAL.

We "got to the bottom" of it decades ago. Aliens don't exist.

But that is not what some people want to hear. So they will keep trying to "get to the bottom of it" until someone tells them a big lie. At which point we can lose all faith in the political system, science, and indeed the whole mess that we have come to know as "civilization".

Humans exist, and Others do too.

There is no evidence that there are any living organisms anywhere in the universe other than on Earth. That is not the same as saying there are no living organisms anywhere in the universe other than on Earth. It simply means we have no evidence for any living organisms anywhere in the universe other than on Earth.

There may well be other planets with life on them. That life could be at any stage of evolution. There may be planets where there has been life and it is now extinct. There may be planets with no life on them but which may have it in the future.

Planets with life may only have something comparable to our own prokaryotes. It may have intelligent life with is much more advanced than current human civilisation. We simply do not know.

You cannot provide evidence for a negative. You can only show there is no evidence. Therefore, until, and if, there is evidence of life on other planets we simply have to accept we have no evidence for life on other planets.

If there is life out there we may discover it. That could happen in my life time. It may not happen for hundreds of years. If there is life out there we may never discover it. Of course, there may be no life out there.

Politicians often come up with stupid claims or promises. Until we have some evidence of life in some form on at least one other planet we will not get to the bottom of it.

The 'bottom' is that there is no credible evidence for the existence of aliens so there is nothing to get to the bottom of.  That's the way it is going to be until actual, credible evidence surfaces.

If we did, what then?  As far as sightings go, I believe there are a certain amount of very top secretive tests that get conducted.  That might be what people see at times.
