Short answer - there is no difference between testosterone and hormones because testosterone IS a hormone.  Testosterone is ONE specific hormone.

Men have higher testosterone levels than women and women have higher estrogen levels than men.  But both genders actually have both of these hormones.

The body has many different hormones all intended to help maintain certain functions in the body.  Many hormones are related to reproduction (female hormones that regulate ovulation and periods).  Other hormones are related to metabolism and how the body uses and processes the food we eat.

Of course, this is a very simple answer - but the main point is just that testosterone IS a hormone.
