What kind of parents send their children to Waldorf schools?

Are they religious parents like Christian or Pagan? Are they athiests? Are they just hippies?

Waldorf schools are not religious but they incorporate stories from several different religions into the lessons.  The curriculum is based on developmental stages of children and has been around for 100 years, so definitely not "just hippies."  My kids went to a Waldorf school and they heard stories from Judaism, Hinduism, Norse paganism, and Native American traditions as part of the curriculum.  All those stories were treated exactly the same way, as stories a particular culture told.

Isn't that that Steiner guy? Well, at least it's a theory of education, better than none.
