Is it normal my 21 year old son comes home from work at 9-10pm everyday?
I know he finishes work at around 5-6, but then he'll go out afterwards to meet friends, do shopping, and eating out, and gym.
I don't think it's normal behaviour at all honeslty, and feel likes he's honestly taking the p***, as he's out for more than 12 hours each day.

That's not at all unusual for a young adult still living at home and not wanting to be reminded that he's still living at home. This is your adult child, not your companion, let him grow up.

Hopefully this boarder is paying reasonable rent and cleaning up after himself and isn't disturbing you when he comes in.

He is a adult, and you cannot stop him, you try and he will move out, and you will never know what he is doing. leave him alone.

It is perfectly normal. What would be even more normal would be if he moved out to his own place, so that you're not keeping track of how many hours he's out. He's not supposed to be a companion to you. Build your own life.

It's normal for 21 year old children to intend to keep their lives separate from their parents. Up to you whether or not you're willing to continue to provide for a child who has legally been an adult for 4 years.

He's 21 years old, living his life. That may not be normal for you, but it's not your life.
