Are morals necessarily empathic and not logical?

Can we logically conclude what is morally right and wrong without empathy?

I feel like what is morally right and wrong is logical and doesn't necessitate empathy, but maybe I'm still starting from an empathetical framework.

For example, I understand that it is morally wrong to enslave, exploit, and slaughter animals for our taste pleasure (people eat plant based and are perfectly healthy, so eating animals is not necessary for health), entertainment, etc.

However, I don't care about animals. I have no empathy for them. So I feel like it's a logical conclusion, not an empathic conclusion.

Then again, I am basing my moral reasoning, I suppose, from my empathy toward fellow humans.

So is empathy a necessary factor for concluding what is morally right and wrong?

Can a society of sociopaths conclude what is morally right and wrong through philosophical discussions, despite not personally caring?

Granted, empathy is an evolutionary trait that helped societies survive in the first place so a society of sociopaths would not survive.

Or could they? Could they understand moral right and wrong, perhaps not actually care, but for the good of the society, abide by the rules?

Police stop you at checkpoint to check if you’re chipped (aka vaccinated)

Police check the car; let's say 4 people car but signal only from 3; so, police stop it to chip the notyetchipped; signal from 4 now and police let the car go. This is prophecy by saint VyacheslavKrasheninnikov. Notice police chip (aka vaccinate) people at gun point in Africa; so, no more "it's not gonna happen here" 'cuz it will soon enough, capisce?

Police do it on highways or when you leave your city... basically, you can't leave your city unless you're vaccinated; but vaccine = mark of the beast; so, escape now while your city doesn't have these rules; forgive me.

Gov't sprays chemtrails so that people feel symptoms of flu

5G will kill vaccinated; just read Georgia Guidestones' commandment of 500 million max population on earth; it fits with Orthodox Christian prophecy of 7 percent of people left

Russian Orthodox prophecy also says that there will be unbearable stench in winter. So, there you go. Russian winters are cold. So, they must have died from the new disease that doesn't have a name 'cuz it's caused by 5G.

martial law; Constitution was suspended; New World Order

read Book of Revelation; Chapters 13 and 14, please

chipped people will be influenced by super computers to receive World Passport (grey plastic card with no name on it), but when they stretch their hands to get it, gov't clerk presses secret button to administer the unforgivable green 666 tattoo by isotope rays

If you escape mark of the beast, then your direct ancestors go to permanent heaven

how to escape it? by hiding within a small group (10 - 15 people according to saints Gabriel Urgebadze and Seraphim of Sarov); no documents; no electronics

Project Pogo = Alex Jones, QAnon, Adam Green, etc. videos are put out so that gov't tracks who watches them. (Project Zyphr annihilates people who watch these videos). Drone with scopolamine will drill a hole in your window at 4 am. Once gassed, you will come out to the police van (waiting for you outside) yourself; you will be taken to underground camp to be tortured for adrenochrome. The rest of the people will be secretly (or even openly) chipped when they sign up for food in closed stores

AI (artificial intelligence aka demons) will post on your social media as if it were you doing it while you're on vacation; it will even make phone calls on behalf of you; no one will notice that you're missing in action.

Source(s): Pray the Jesus prayer just like priest ElpidiosVagianakis asked you to do: 33 times (symbolizing 33 years of Christ) at 6am, then at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12pm, 3am. If you remember, awake, etc., pray it. Later you will pray it in your sleep. Documents are from Satan; burn all the documents that you can find. Electronics will be used to track you. Even old broken unplugged 1970 TV set will show the evil flying antichrist using Tesla's ether. Don’t go into UFO to be “healed” by evil demons; demons never do good; always pray the Jesus prayer or to saints who help right away (like saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov according to whom if you reject mark of the beast, then your direct ancestors go to heaven); forgive me.

Some clarification as to terms and definitions:

"Moral" is Cicero's coined word-idea translating Greek ethikos, from G ethos, moral character, for his Latin speakers.  Thus ethikos and morals pertain to inter-monadic manners, built upon individual ethos.  At this juncture, one typically claims Godly moral character, or retreats to subjective materialism (Kantian 5-sense phenomena), which in its most reductive mode becomes objectivism, aka an ignorant claiming of only atomism.  "Empathy" is Lotze's coined word-idea translating G empatheia, emotion (especially suffering), for his German speakers.

Edith Stein's brilliant, compassionate "On the Problem of Empathy," which was her doctoral thesis written as Edmund Husserl's student, paves the way for an answer to your question.  Em-pathy is empathy-neuronal, presaged as the middle-period Kantian Categorical Imperative sensibility, and is healthy; sym-pathy is a Nietzschean "last man" herdly socialism, the polar pathology to sociopathy as "plutocracy" or "robber barons;" thus the middle way of compassion, between the cliched stereotypes of cold selfishness and emo infantilism.

Middle Kant's correct intuition re neuroarchetectonics' transitivities promoting increasing awareness remains the basis for all phenomenally-sensed ethics/morals.  Insofar as the Noumenal is sensed, even as Schopenhauer's simple, inchoate will-to-live, there is a movement toward later Kant ("Opus Postumum"), in which he interprets God, and God's starry, wonderful Nature, to Man--a type of Natural Law theoretic.

The neuroarchetectonics of empathy neuronal processing may be regarded as Stein's problematic of empathy, in which God/Energy and Man/man manifestly interact, (according to the varied epistemologies of sensibilities); in turn, these mores are functions of ontological evaluation (Noumenon, as unsensed, by middle Kant, and as Realized by e.g. Plato, Plotinus, Husserl, and Whitehead)--epistemic sensibility arising of ontological awareness.

"Logics" are functions of Logos/ratio, and tend simply to quality-assure axiomized systems, which axioms are correlate with "self-evident" sensibilities and awarenesses.

It's a program that treats itself and others equally and works as a whole.

However, this includes when you grow up, become older, become a criminal, become a victim, become poorer, become richer, and so on. It is inappropriate if it does not consist of motivation and phenomenon.

Good question. I believe morality is rational because it represents the rules of conduct that help ensure we can all live together in safe, sustainable communities. Our own best interests are served, on balance, by upholding our collective interests so it is rational to be moral. There are circumstances in which our sense of morality extends to non-humans though obviously we cannot place any moral imperative on the animals themselves.  If an action harms others or creates divisions in society then the chances are it is not moral. We need no gods or religions to be moral, just a brain and the ability to think. It is not separate from empathy. The rationality is complemented by our empathy.

i think you are a bit confused. morals are not something innate. they are taught to you by your parents, teachers, and church leaders.

your ETHICS are the things that are determined by your character, and your character is largely determined by your environment, and your interpretations of the events in your life.

also, remember that "right" and "wrong" are subjective, and based on your world views. what is considered "right" by one religious or political group may be considered "wrong" by another. right and wrong are opinions, not facts...

Morals can be rationally grounded in natural law. Put very simply, this means that humans have a common instinct for what is good and what is in accordance with the proper nature of things, and that gives a starting point for morals. For instance, rather than saying 'cutting peoples heads off is wrong because they don't like it' you can say 'cutting people's heads off is wrong because it makes them less able to flourish in accordance with human nature'.

It's a big philosophical topic, and not one I know well enough to sum up properly in a quick answer, but if you want to look into it then Wikipedia is as good a starting point as any.
