Thank you Kate.  That is perhaps the most beautiful and insightful response I've seen in R&S for a long time.  Many blessings and best wishes to you and to all my fellow R&S members.

Ahh kindness. Well I believe the key to kindness to truly to hold empathy for every human being & their situations close to your heart. We must truly put ourselves in their shoes & come from a place of understanding instead of judgment. “If only we fought just as hard to understand as we do to disagree”

I always say hatred comes from lack of understanding. Example: I hate math. Why? Because I simply can not understand it. Same algorithm applies in all situations of hatred when you truly think deep into it.

Another thing is each day I try to do at least one random act of kindness for someone even if it’s just a smile. It could be buying the person behind me in lines coffee or it could be checking up on a friend I haven’t talked to in awhile just to make sure they’re ok. I love the quote “it costs zero dollars to be a good human.”

It’s so important to always see the good in humans. There is truly so much good in the world if you look around. You can’t let the bad apples harden your heart. Always remind yourself.. there is still goodness out there. It’s ok to get angry & upset at things but always bring your heart back to center. Always bring your heart back around to innocence + sunshine. Always take a moment to clear your blinders & see the world from the perspective of a child.

“Think of all the Beauty still left around you & be happy” -Anne frank.

Live your life in love & always remember There is a God who created you... for the soul purpose of being loved by him. ♥️

Almost everyone can follow do the full form golden rule when it's easy:

"In all things, always do to others as you would have others do to you" -- Christ Jesus, Matthew 7:12

The proactive full form, most can do it most of the time...

But, to do this when it really matters for peace, with someone that is angry or very wrong acting and has attacked you, then you need something more than only an idea or some will power.   We need a more profound aid.

In such moments, we need the help that comes with faith in Christ, for our salvation from all the wrong from throughout our lives.  The One Who can save.

      Jesus, Christ, the Redeemer.
