What do you think will be the legacy of Yahoo Answers?
Well, it's been a fun ride!
Over the past decade or so I've had some laughs, read some touching stories, made some new discoveries, and had my viewpoints challenged (and in some cases, changed). Though I hate to see YA go, I truly enjoyed my time here. I would like to thank everyone for all the memories and all the good times I've had. But I think most of all, I'd like to thank everyone for giving me a place to take a break from life for a little while. I will miss this site dearly.
Love and peace to you all. Stay safe and God bless!

Sadly, the legacy will be the stupidest questions posted here, as one sees when you google Yahoo Answers. The top result is usually "Yahoo Answers funny," and that includes the infamous "How is babby formed?"
I found the site entertaining and relaxing. Many of us did. And some of us like to think we truly helped people in certain categories not overrun by trolls. But the trolls came to dominate, to transform YA into a swamp of political and social idiocy.
In recent years, I started to hope that YA would be shut down, so that I wouldn't be tempted to keep answering questions. I actually cheered when I saw that the decision had finally been made, and I am still pleased that it was. I'll miss the site as I first knew it. I won't miss what it became.
Good luck to all. Ave atque vale.

It’s like the turd that won’t flush no matter how many times you flush the toilet. Answers should have been closed down years ago but somehow it managed to stick around.

Over 6 years, I’ve had 189 accounts. 74 working accounts at one time. Still at 17. Started with Alex. Then Fred. Then Chuck. Oscar. Edward. Steve. Toby and of course Gary. And I don’t remember the rest in order.
