Please only respond if you are working for the said company or program you are recommending. Thanks
8 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoIs this website/offer a scam? Has anyone tried this?
I've seen it before and have always been leery, but it's only $97 to start and a money back guarantee. I mean yes, there's a chance it's a scam, but isn't there also a chance there isn't? So wouldn't it be worth it to try it and take a chance? Why are there comments from people on the site saying it works if it really doesn't? Would the company have written the responses to get people to try it? Here's the link. http://www.onlinecareerjournal.com/melissa14.php?l... Thanks again

4 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhat is passive voice in English?
Can you provide an example of a passive sentence and then change it to active please? I need to avoid using passive voice but can't remember what it is exactly. Is it using "to be" verbs and past tense? Thanks
2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoI kind of hate men because they've always let me down in the past.. Am I a lesbian?
Does that make me one because being with a girl seems like it'd be less scary as men have always treated me like an object and like I don't matter. I feel being with a girl I'd be appreciated for who I actually am as well as sexually. No hate comments but I guess if that makes you feel any better, then go for it. At this point being told I'm strange from strangers isn't going to keep me awake at night. ;) But i guess my question is, If I'm scared of men in relationships does that mean I'm a lesbian?
9 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoWhich is better for women soy or whey protein?
I workout anywhere between 4-6 days a week on average and am 21. I run, lift weights, do yoga and pilates, and really anything to get my heart and endurance as well as flexibility and strength up. I'm also trying to slowly wean my way into becoming a vegan so am trying to avoid milk and meat as much as possible. I read that whey protein is a protein in milk? So should I put soy protein in my protein shakes or whey? I mean based on the benefits of each regardless of if it has milk in it, which is better for women? Thank you
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoI don't know how to pursue acting in Arizona?
There really aren't that many opportunities here in AZ. In comparison to Chicago where I'm from, there are literally hardly any acting studios available, and there doesn't seem to be many auditions to be going on. I don't know it just seems like a dead market. But I don't want to move to Los Angeles from AZ as I feel even worse off than I did when I was in Chicago. I mean I feel like I have gotten worse as an actress. With this market in AZ I just feel like I'm not being prepared for Los Angeles. Should I move back to Chicago or should I just jump in with both feet to California? Because I feel like I could fall flat on my face if I went straight to LA from AZ....
2 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoBook recommendations on job hunting in this bad economy, and networking?
So books on: networking and the various ways to do it and succeed, job hunting in this new world of business and crap economy, and setting and keeping goals. I really suck at that. It's like I have all these thoughts and my brain is everywhere so I can't focus enough to decide how to set and keep goals. I'm baffled. Ahhh help. Just trying to find work without going insane. I'm a college student looking for full time work. Thanks
3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoCan you give me a list of legitmate acting extra agencies in AZ?
I've looked online and some look good and some don't. Just wonderiing if anyone has worked the circuit so to speak and can weed out the bad ones for me to save me some time... Please list the good and bad based on your personal experience with them. Thanks so much.
1 AnswerTheater & Acting1 decade agoIf all I've ever been passionate about is acting, should I major in it or get a marketable degree?
Should I just not get a degree and go take acting classes while trying to earn a living? I know sounds idiotic, but honestly the whole taking prestigious acting classes in LA sounds more productive than going to a college theater dept. Also, what should I major in if I want to be marketable and get a job to support myself? Honestly that's the biggest thing that stresses me out about being a struggling actor. What jobs do you do and how do you not sever ties with people if you have an audition and have to cancel on them as it conflicts with your day job? I know people are waiters, nannys, do temp jobs, are assistants, but are there any other jobs that are outside the box and a bit more stable? probably not...
1 AnswerTheater & Acting1 decade agoShould I major in theater if it's my passion?
Really my only other thing I like to do is sing or English and those are just as unreliable of majors. I don't want to be a teacher and English majors usually end up as teachers. I mean journalism, writing, editing, etc are all really tough fields to get into, and since I'm not as passionate about them, shouldn't I at least do what I love (acting and theater) to do even if it's not "practical?" Doesn't it not matter what you major in unless it's a specific field like becoming a doctor or lawyer? I mean English and Theater degrees are of the same caliber in that they are considered useless. So if I'm going to major in a useless degree, shouldn't I love doing it? I just feel like majoring in something that's marketable and guaranteed a job (nursing) but hating it every second is just not worth it in the long run. I'll end up being depressed if I do anything other than acting or expressing myself creatively. Thoughts? Especially from people who are or were in the same boat? Thanks

10 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoWhere can I find the best theater audition material?
I know I'm supposed to get them from plays, the only problem is, every single bookstore or library near me carries only a limited supply of plays, and these are usually classic and overdone stuff like Arthur Miller, Neil Simon, Simon O'Neill... So I'm trying to find newer plays with roles suitable for younger females, as many plays I've come across have males as their main characters with great parts. I don't live near a Samuel French, and I don't know the plays I'd even want to read that are new, that I would order on Amazon or at barnes and noble. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerTheater & Acting1 decade agoIs it true that most guys won't ask a girl out unless he is pretty sure the girl likes him back?
It just seems like nowadays guys lack the balls to just ask a girl out regardless of how they think she feels. I mean maybe it's been this way for a while, and I've just been reading too many chivalrous books and movies, but it seems like guys are always too scared to ask a girl out for fear of being rejected. I get it and sympathize, but at the same time, it's usually more effective when a guy asks a girl out than vice versa. Effective meaning the relationship lasts longer. I mean all you have to do is ask a girl and if she says no, let it slide off you and move on. Girls have to flippin give birth and have frickin cramps every month. Being the initiator in the dating world doesn't seem like too bad a trade off if it meant I'd never have to carry another person inside me, or be bloated and crampy... Just saying. I'll probably get bashed for saying this, but whatever. Say what you want. the more the merrier. :)
11 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhy do all the bitchy or even downright weird people always find someone to be with?
I mean I've seen people who I can't even tell if they're a man or a woman, and they happen to find someone they are compatible with! Or just bitchy girls who whine and complain all the time and are way too into materialistic things. Why is it so hard to find a decent guy who is genuine and actually has a sense of morality? Oh and isn't a complete moron intellectually? Are guys intimidated if a girl is smart? That would be just sad because it's pretty demeaning to "act dumb" just to get guys to like me. Let me know your thoughts and opinions. Thanks as always
12 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhy do guys always think you like them if you ask them to hangout?
I mean it just sometimes is awkward when you aren't sure if you like someone romantically or in a platonic way, so when a guy makes the assumption that I like him because I want to hangout with him, it can get awkward sometimes. Plus it's just kind of arrogant to think that if someone wants to spend time with you then they must like you as more than a friend. Any idea why this occurs? For a while I stopped asking guys to hangout as they assumed I was into them when I wasn't, and it was just a sticky situation. Anyway, does this happen to you a lot too? (people assuming you like them after asking to hang?) Thanks
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoWould it be weird or seem desperate if I asked this guy I barely know to hang out?
I only met him a few times, and I actually met him through work. I work at a coffeehouse and he's a customer and seems like a really great guy to get to know. He always is really conversational and friendly so that is a sign that at least he's a nice person. Not sure if I'd wanna be friends or if I would even think of him in a romantic way, but would it seem desperate if I suggested we hang out sometime? If I did that, how should I ask in a way that doesn't sound awkward, desperate, or just like I don't have a life. (I don't have one really at the moment as I just moved to a new state, so am trying to put self out there...). Suggestions, comments, really anything would be of value. Thanks
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoare there websites online which suggest jobs for you depending upon your interests?
Like for instance, I like English, psychology, theater, philosophy, and pretty much anything creative. But these don't seem to be great career choices, just nice hobbies. So if a website could suggest what to do with these interests to make a career, that'd be amazing. Any recommendations? Thanks.
