Every year when we turn on our swamp cooler it blows dirt all over our house and it is a lot of work to clean it up. It covers all furniture, drapes, anything hanging on the walls, in the carpet, etc. I have fibromyalgia so it isn't so easy for me to clean all this dirt up. We get the most when we first turn on the swamp cooler for the season and i tried covering some things but the dust and dirt continues for maybe a week. I enjoy gardening so this time of year I am also planting my vegetable garden and trying to get the yard back in shape.

My husband cleans the pan on the roof and we change out the filters. I have taken off the vent cover and used a wet mop to wash the inside walls of the aluminum vent. I have tried putting a wet towel over the vent cover to catch the dirt. It caught some but not as well as I had hoped. Where is all this dirt coming from and how can I keep it out of my house?

We have nests all over, in my daughter's broken down car (in between the doors), in the trampoline frame, in the metal pole of our basketball hoop, etc. I don't want anyone to get stung but I don't want to kill them if they are beneficial.
