I want to buy a blackberry on ebay for T-mobile. I have unlimited Web, Text and calling through T-Mobile, but would I still have to buy a data plan? I really just want it for text.

  • I feel dumb asking this, but name change after marriage?

How do you file for a name change after getting married by a justice of the peace or in a courthouse? (Actually, I guess it wouldn't matter where you're married.)

I'll be getting married probably in SC or GA if that helps.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Annoying friend?

    Hi everyone...

So I have a friend who is obnoxious about IMing, emailing and facebook messaging me. If he sees me walking to class, he follows me to talk to me, and the thing is, I know he hasnt had a lot of luck with the ladies so I try to be nice to him. He is really overall a jerk who assumes wayyyy too much and pushed it over the line by calling me "ho" recently, and I just can't take it! I blocked him from IM but he's been putting up weird facebook statuses and all.. the thing is, he was starting to freak me and my boyfriend out because we thought he possibly liked me. I don't know what I should do--do I keep ignoring him because he's been mean, creepy and crossed the line both by calling me a name and also trying to get me to go out to dinner with him alone several times (and come over to his house), or do I let him back into my life and just put up with it? I dont even know how i FEEL about this dude being friends with me!

Sorry it's so long... difficult to say everything!

  • Best apartments in ATL?

Okay, so I've checked apartment ratings, I've browsed what feels like hundreds of apartments...

What's your pick for the BEST apartments in ATL? I'm looking for something preferably in Fulton or Dekalb counties, mostly in the city of atlanta (Sandy Springs and North Springs excepted) and some place that you LOVED.

Thanks so much, um... wow, I don't know this--what do you call a person from atlanta? haha. hopefully you can help with that too! Atlantian, Atlantaite, Atlantan?

  • Where to move after college? Cross country moving?

So basically I'm getting married right after college, and I was wondering where the best place for us to move would be. We love the idea of moving to Portland, OR but it's cross-country for us. We just want a place that is 1) less crime than Atlanta (not difficult, ha) 2) possibly cheaper cost of living and 3) good job market. We really have no preferences other than that. We're both going into marketing, so jobs aren't too difficult to find (or shouldn't be). Our short list includes Baltimore, Austin, Philadelphia and Dallas as well!

So if we decide to move to Portland, how difficult do you think a cross country move will be? How many times would we need to fly out there (for what things would we need to be present), do you think? We're from a place near Atlanta (would be flying out of there) so we're worried about costs of flying!

Thanks in advance, and I welcome any help you can give me!

  • Atlanta without a car--tell me about MARTA?

My boyfriend and I plan on moving to one of several cities (Atlanta among those) and don't plan on buying a car right away; we have one, but would really like to use it as little as possible (Gotta be green). I've heard bad things about MARTA, but have found plenty of places within walking distance of MARTA rail stations and a grocery store, etc, so would it really be so bad to rely on MARTA?

Please don't give me the standard "Yeah, MARTA sucks" answers.

  • About Atlanta living...?

What's the best, what's the worst?

If you've moved here, what did you regret about living here?

I visit Atlanta a lot (about once a month, maybe more often) because I live fairly close (hour & 1/2 away) but I don't know a lot about living there--there is only so much that visiting can reveal. I'm not asking where to live or anything else a lot of the other questions have asked, because I already know a lot about the city--I just want to know, in your own words, what you think about living here. Thanks in advance!

  • Has anyone considered/is trying "Slow living"?

Slow living is a concept that started with "slow food"--enjoy the moment, savor the food, etc.

More info here: (great ny times article!) http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/31/garden/31slow.ht...

    http://www.slowmovement.com/slow_cities.php

Just wondering if you employ this concept? What are your thoughts?

  • If my boyfriend's parents hate me...?

    then what should I do?

Ok, the deal is, we've been together for three and a half years. We are both in college right now, but came from the same town. I've known his parents for a long time now, and they're generally polite with me, but the other day his mom said some unforgivable things about me to him (and he was upset, and I asked what was wrong... boy was that an earful!). I don't let it bother me, but as he's going to propose soon, and we're getting married in two years... how on EARTH am I supposed to deal with these people? I am already acting sweeter than sugar to them!

The real problem is that i'm not a rich girl like his mom wants him to marry.. but I still have to deal with her, even if the problem is hers and not mine. Help!
