  • Why do certain people use swear words?

If there s one thing I cannot stand and that certain people I know of use a lot of swear words and some of them are sexual. One time at work, one of the employees was using swear words that were sexual. I tried to confront him saying,

    "Excuse me sir,

I really don t like what you re saying. It s offensive and disruptive. If you re going to say these nasty and foul words, do it at home. Not at work. Because I really can t stand it." I also tried tuning him out and that helped.

  • Why is discrimination allowed?

Discrimination should never be allowed at all. Whether it has to do with Religion, Gender, Race, Nationality, Gender, Disability. In the 1960's, The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King explicitly said that discrimination should be outlawed. He not only stood up for African Americans but for White Americans. I'm hoping and praying that in the future, people will learn to stand up against discrimination.

  • Has anyone prayed to Saints?

Praying to Saints within the Roman Catholic Christian Church and within the Eastern Orthodox is a way of connecting ourselves with because they reign with God and Jesus Christ. And keep in mind that they're only to intercede for us and help us get closer to God and Heaven. And they'll help us bring our prayer intentions to God. But to various Protestant Christians, they see praying to Saints as a form of idolatry. Which to me is not entirely true.

Slayer is a American thrash metal band and it's been around since 1981. My cousin is into their music and one their songs he likes is Repentless. And their songs are dedicated to the Devil himself. I myself have watched one of their music videos, Repentless. And I found it disturbing and appalling.

  • Has anyone had to deal with a person who used profanity words?

With the Easter celebration in two weeks from today. To me as a Catholic Christian, Easter is a glorious and joyful moment when God s only begotten son, Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead because of his death on the cross to save humanity from going to Hell. And some people like Jehovah Witnesses believe that Easter is nothing but a pagan holiday. And that s something I don t believe in.

  • What does the Easter Celebration mean to you?

With the Easter celebration in two weeks from today. To me as a Catholic Christian, Easter is a glorious and joyful moment when God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead because of his death on the cross to save humanity from going to Hell. And some people like Jehovah Witnesses believe that Easter is nothing but a pagan holiday. And that's something I don't believe in.If you really think that Easter is nothing but a Pagan holiday or just another secular holiday for families. Then you should speak to your Church pastor or minister about the true meaning of the holiday. That includes Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant.

  • What do you think of the Catholic Church sex abuse scandals?

The Catholic church sexual abuse scandals have been around as far as i can remember. Two previous Popes tried their best to deal with the abuses and to put an end to it.

    1. Saint Pope John Paul II.

    2. Pope Benedict XVI.

But now the current holy father, Pope Francis is starting to take firm action to put the scandals once and for all by having convicted Catholic priests rounded up and have them face the repercussions for their bad decisions.I myself almost started to lose faith and losing Pope Francis's trust. But after so much fervent prayer with the Holy Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, I stood firm for the Catholic faith and today, I still have faith that Pope Francis will do what he promises. And it's no scandal at all of what he's doing. If you're a Catholic like me and you're having doubt like i did, I encourage you to remain hopeful and pray for Pope Francis and his purest intentions.

  • How was Barack Obama as President?

As a Democrat, I always believed that Barack Obama was the best President we Americans had. He knew how to keep our country safer and peaceful and knew how to deal with different leaders from different countries such as Vladimir Putin from Russia. And he was very good about protecting our environment and improving it. Plus he had compassion for Disabled Americans like myself.

  • Has anyone prayed a Novena?

A novena is a traditional Catholic prayer method in which a series of prayers is offered each day for nine successive days. They are offered as a sacrifice and show devotion when the prayer is asking for something specific. They aren't magic, just a way of increasing your talks with God. A novena maybe carried on in common in church, but the more popular form of the novena is private. Many novenas have been approved and indulgenced and by the Holy See, most designed as preparation for feasts. In its earliest forms, the novena was designed as a prayer for the repose of the soul of a deceased person. I remember 7 years ago, I was hoping that I would get my own apartment and at first it didn't seem possible but after my mom encouraged me to pray the Sacred Heart of Jesus novena. After praying this novena, the housing authority said that there was a vacant apartment and i accepted it. After getting the apartment, i gave thanks and praise to God. There are various novenas that dedicated to various Saints. And some to Jesus Christ and his Blessed Mother Mary. If you have any questions about a novena, i suggest you go to you local Catholic Church and ask your Catholic priest or Deacon.

  • Americans, how do you feel about the federal government shut down?

It's been 22 days since President Donald John Trump shut down the federal government and it's interfering with my EBT food stamps. Meaning in the future, i may not get much more. Not only that but people who have a federal job are outraged and are protesting and wish it would end now. I for one am carrying this heavy burden and outraged too. But certain Democrats are hoping to force Trump to put an end to it once and for all. I bet some of you have a federal job and are outraged and wish it would end.

  • Has anyone read Rice Broock's book, God's Not Dead?

I was reading this book, "God's Not Dead." Written by Rice Broock's In this book, he starts to claim that God isn't dead and he refutes the claims that atheists have about God and religion. Especially Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris. And i have to agree with Rice Broock. I clearly was baptized in a Catholic Christian family and i continue to take my religious convictions seriously. If I had any shred of doubt that God is real, i be in deep trouble with God. But i don't doubt that he's real. Christians, prove me right. Atheists, prove me wrong.

  • Has religion caused more chaos than peace and harmony?

I know that religion is one of the most controversial subjects. I grew up in a Irish Catholic family and never once did I enforce my religious beliefs on others or threaten them with Hell. I mean sure there was religious violence in the middle ages such as the crusades and the inquisition. For example killing infidels that took over Jerusalem and threatening people of different religion to convert to Catholicism. And if they don t, the death penalty. It would be nice if people of different religions just show sincere respect, tolerance, peace and harmony towards others instead of this senseless violence.

  • Has Halloween sparked up controversy?

Since the beginning, Halloween started as a Pagan holiday. The early Christians and the church didn't eliminate the pagans but rather they adopted the pagan beliefs and made it more like Christian. Then came the concept of two holidays after Halloween. All Saints Day, All Souls day. Me, I'm a Catholic Christian but instead of celebrating Halloween. I pray for the heathens and lost souls so that they'll find their way back to God.

  • Have you ever been angry at God?

A few times I've endured misfortunes. Like 2 years ago, my mom and dad divorced. It wasn't my mom's idea. It was my dad. And one other time i lost a close friend who died in a fatal car accident. With these misfortunes, i felt angry and sad. I almost wanted to curse at God but then i remembered this character from the old testament named Job. He suffered misfortunes but he never cursed at God and neither did i. Instead i remained faithful. I know in the end, God has a divine plan for all of us. He gave us a savior who died on the cross, Jesus Christ and resurrected from the dead. So no matter what happens, we must be thankful in good times and bad times.

  • Has religion caused more harm than good?

I know that religion is a controversial subject and some people like me embrace it. Others see it as a plague. I'm a Catholic Christian and I did some research on the crusades. I think what the Christian soldiers did was wrong. Killing non Christians. Jesus never supported violence and hatred. He suggested love our enemies and pray for them
