Vista support expiry?

Anyone else noticed that Microsoft have already announced the expiry of support for Vista in 5 years?

Vista Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate will stop receiving updates, even critical security updates, after April 10, 2012.

Do they know something we don't?

perhaps microsoft are expecting vista not to do that well, this is what really makes me mad

why do microsoft have to pull the plug on any of their windows versions, with their massive corporate strength you would think they could keep support up for all their previous windows

along with 2 x windows xp and 1 x vista ,i also have a desktop with windows98 on it and a laptop with m.e installed,so i was pretty cheesed off when i heard that microsoft were pulling the plug on 98/me updates, why?

i mean i am sure they could spare a few hours or a few staff just to concentrate on legacy versions of windows

microsoft need to get their act together,or apple will begin to blossom!

    take care dude!
