How can I verify a student's enrollment at Univ. of Chicago law school?

Have a contact claiming to be enrolled at U. of Chicago law, but none of his story makes sense--he messes up dates (when classes begin), won't say the names of his classes, changes the subject if I ask him about certain classes or subjects. Without violating the law or pretending to be someone else and calling their admissions office, how can I find out if he is enrolled?

Call, write, or e-mail the "Records or Admissions Office" at the University and ask them to keep your conversation confidential. Active enrollment status is public information especially for potential employers.
