Logic puzzle?
A man is travelling to a place he's never been to before and doesn't have a map. He come's to a crossroads where he finds a signpost but it has fallen over.
He examines the sign and finds it has 4 place names, each one pointing either North South East or West and, to his joy, one of them is the name of his destination.
How will he know which road to take?
How will he know which way round to put the sign?
There are no other directions on the sign other than a single word place name.
He's not very good at navigating by the sun.
Shlump has it, well done, the points will be yours...
Jeff you were almost there so everyone please give him a thumbs up.

He should know from where he came, so he should put the sign post up with the name of the place he came from pointing back down the road he just traveled on. Then the sign will tell him which way to go.

the name of the place or one of the places has the direction
eg south central, or west virginia or something so he knows which direction the sign post should go

he should hire a forensic scientist to determine which way the sign fell and then he could put it back up the way it came down.
