Does Chris Duhon signing show marbury is finally out of New York.?

Knicks just agreed to a 2 year deal with Chris Duhon, he was a back up his whole career but does his signing mean marbury is finnaly going to be traded/released.

Not a definite yes on your question.

Knicks go to a budget-spender choice on the pass-first Chris Duhon as the answer for PG, but Stephon Marbury remains the better player between two. Plus Knicks understand Nate Robinson will never be a NBA PG (that's why Knicks drafted a combo G on Mardy Collins, and this year on a point-forward in Danilo Gallinari). Unless they can land another true PG, they can't let Starbury go.

Starbury's expiring contract has some serious market value;if any team looks for immediate answer and cap relief, then he is a good pickup. It may be a little stupid for Knicks to waive him and get nothing in return (still remember Steve Francis? he was tradeable last season, and he is obviously in a decling mode when compared to Starbury). So Knicks can only keep on calling the others should they want to dump Starbury.

let marbury attempt to play out his final year of his contract. you have all the time in the world to trade or buy him out, why would you take this action in the off-season without seeing how this team works with a healthier marbury. you can release him during the season if he doesn't meet your standards of play on the court or if he isn't the figure you would like in the locker room as some may argue. Most likely he will be released, but let him start the season. he can be key in us making it to the playoffs or even havinh a run at the finals this upcoming season. and i don't understand how people are so high on releasing talent like marbury while letting wastes like jerome james make a living off nothing on your team.

Yes. The Knicks are actively pursuing a trade, if that's not possible expect them to buy out his contract or waive him. He has one year on his deal which makes a deal attractive, but I think now that teams see that NYK really want to get rid of him they'll probably just wait for him to be released instead of trading (unless they have people they want off their respective team).

Who wants a chemistry killer and someone who has never proven he his a winner? Stephon got way too many chances to step up and live up to his "Starbury" expectations, but never did. I will be happy to see him go, hopefully he can ressurrect his career and show he can play because God knows he didn't in NY.

Duhon works with Nash, so he has that connection which I am sure D'antoni loves. He is a party animal, so it will be interesting to see how he behaves in the big city. Overall a good signing in that he is a pure PG. Will he make the Knicks a playoff contender? ... I wouldn't bank on it, but he can help.

If the Knicks are replacing Marbury with Duhon, they're in trouble. As a Bulls fan I can tell you that Duhon can't play.

    hello dude

as the media and reporters say, Knicks sign a Pg yet they have a 2 legit Pg on their team, so as they say, one of the legit Pg will be traded or released, fortunately, that'll be Marbury.

  • Marbury is obviously not what he used to be and D'Antoni and Walsh are bringing in players THEY want.

I think Marbury is almost untradable because of his contract. So either a buyout or a last chance.

if the knicks have any intelligence they will get rid of Marbury
