What could be the cause of a swollen lymph gland right under the middle of the jaw?

This is on a teenager neighbor who has not been immunized against ANYTHING, but there are no outbreaks of anything in our area. His jaw is also slightly swollen and sore. His mom cannot find any explanation online.

If this really does involve a lymph node, viral infections are the primary cause. His mother should take him to his doctor for a proper diagnosis. This may not be glandular after all but he just can't be diagnosed online and second-hand at that.
