Have you bought a boat? How often do you go out on it?

My husband wants to buy a boat. We live at the sea - not on the beach, but 20 minutes drive away. Have you bought a little boat for fishing and how often do you go out on it?

I want to know how many people have a boat and don't use it regularly, or whether it is the soul purpose of the weekend, is to go out on the boat and get your fishing gear on?

If you do, what are the reasons and if you don't why did you buy the boat in the first place?

Thanks!

I have had a fishing boat for most of my life. My current boat is 16 ft with a 35 horse 4 stroke. The closest lake is 25 miles away. I love to fish and get away for a day now and than. My wife also enjoys going out in the boat as well. We use it once a week if not more.

I bought a boat a month ago. I've used it once. Its a pain cleaning it up afterward. It was a good deal to buy but the upkeep can be costly. I've had to buy two batteries for the trolling motor so far. It was fun out on the lake but everything involved before and after boating is going to be a pain in the rear.
