U.S. Marine Corps Basic Training?

I went to my first poolee function this weekend and we worked on upper body and core body...I'm still sore! Any way my question is at basic are you sore everyday you wake up? If so how do you personally deal with it? Also What are Sundays like during Basic?

My daughter just graduated basic about a month ago. She is at MCT right now in NC. From her letters and what she told me Sundays were like any other day as far as the DI's never let up. I will say it was her biggest day to write me since she did not attend church services. They had 4 hours of free time in the morning (but she still had many chores to do during that time), studying knowledge, her rifle to clean and other things to take care of.

    Best of luck to you.

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions about Parris Island. All her letters are still so fresh in my mind.

Marines are good at motivating you so that any pain feels good.

It sounds stupid, but you need to live it to understand.

I went through Navy boot camp and it was not too hard. I went through Marine Field Med School and they beat the living crap out of us. It was more fun, more rewarding, and would do it again in a heart beat.

The soreness is lactic acid left over in your muscles. it will go away with time.

In basic you won't even notice because your body won't have time to build up any.
